This will be delivered using ZOOM, live please email Fran at [email protected] to register and receive the link to join.
Session aims: For you to understand the power of visual storytelling and to gain the confidence and skills to start using sketchnotes to tell your story online.
In our new digital, online world pictures and visual storytelling has become even more powerful – to combat ‘web fatigue,’ and to communicate and record information.
This fun, interactive 90 minute workshop led by Disney-trained visualiser/trainer Fran O’Hara will focus on the essential skills you need to create hand-drawn visuals and sketchnotes:
– How to visualise your story
– Choosing the right layout and theme
– Creating type, graphics and images
– Using colour to highlight and navigate
You will leave with the ability to create A4 visuals that combine words and pictures effectively, and an understanding of how and where they can be used, on and offline.
No experience or drawing skills required! All you need is a black pen, a couple of coloured pens and some sheets of paper. Worksheets and a guide will be available to download in advance, and you’ll work through a series of quick exercises, ending with the opportunity to pull your learning together in one visual.
