Sashiko is a Japanese style of embroidery and translates as little stabs.
It uses geometric shapes and lines to create simple but effective designs, the thread is traditionally cream coloured and sewn onto indigo fabrics but you can try the technique using any combination.
You will just need fabric, fabric pencil, ruler, something circular to draw around, needle and embroidery thread.
