Free Introduction to Childcare course

Introduction to Childcare is a one day course which gives adults and young people the opportunity to gain an understanding of the information and skills needed to work in the childcare sector.

If you have passion to work with children and live in Torfaen, this course might be for you

The course content will cover:

· What is the early years and childcare sector?

· Roles in the early years and childcare sector

· Employee qualities and experiences

· Children’s rights

· Well-being

· Child-centred practice

· Play

· Safeguarding

· Infection prevention and control

· The Welsh language

· Professional practice

· Policy and legislation

· Childcare qualifications

Upon completion, a range of support is available to individuals, including follow up resources, digital training modules, work trials and Careers Wales employability support to help people start their career within the childcare sector.
