18th – 24th September 2023 with promotional activity taking place throughout the month.

About the campaign:

Adult Learners’ Week is an annual campaign coordinated in partnership with the Welsh Government which aims to connect people to a wide range of learning opportunities, demonstrate the benefits of adult learning, and to celebrate the achievements of people, projects and organisations in Wales championing and participating in a wide range of lifelong learning and skills.

The campaign aims to encourage as many people as possible to embrace a second chance at education and employment and to experience the powerful benefits of adult learning. We want to inspire people to seek advice and guidance on the opportunities available to them to upskill, to improve their confidence and wellbeing, to flourish in their careers and develop a love for learning throughout life.

Each year we work with a range of partners across multiple sectors to plan and deliver a variety of online and in-person taster sessions, short courses, open days, information and advice, and special events to celebrate the best of adult learning.

Since launching this platform we have built on our campaign partnership with over 150 registered providers, over 330,000 page views, and 54,000 users have visited the campaign platform. To build on this success, Learning and Work Institute are working with campaign partners to promote online, live and in-person events, courses, taster sessions, open days, resources and careers advice and guidance throughout September with a focus on special events taking place during campaign week.

To make 2023 even more successful, we need your support to promote lifelong learning opportunities
