Adult Learners’ Week

Monday 9th, Tuesday 10th, Thursday 12th September – Open Days at Newport City Council, Adult Community Learning Centre, Malpas Court.

An opportunity for adults to drop in and explore learning opportunities being offered in the local community. These range from Entry to Level 2 accredited and non-accredited courses with the aim to build confidence and improve employment opportunities.

Wednesday 11th September – Taster sessions being held at Newport City Council Central Library.

One hour taster sessions to include Essential Skills, Teaching Assistants and functional numeracy for adults who wish to progress within their career, change career pathways and support those who left school with no formal qualifications.

Friday 13th September – Newport City Centre.

An opportunity for adults to speak to tutors about the learning opportunities being offered in the local community. These range from Entry to Level 2 accredited and non-accredited courses with the aim to build confidence and improve employment opportunities.
