Governors for Schools

Governors for Schools is a charity that finds, places, and supports volunteers as governors on school boards in England and Wales.

Becoming a governor offers many professional and personal rewards, including career development opportunities such as gaining board level experience and new skills. It also offers the chance to support young people’s futures.

You don’t need to be a parent or education expert to become a school governor. Whether someone is an experienced professional or embarking on the first stages of their career, we’ll work hard to match them with an appropriate school.

We also provide free online training & resources for new and existing governors to help them to get as much out of the role as possible.
