Sustainable Crafting as part of Adult Learning Wales
Lark Design make
Finch Creative Wellbeing CIC was started to share sustainable creative activities with the community so we are thrilled to have been given funding to host events during Adult Learners Week!
In this workshop, based at our sister company Lark’s studio in Cathays, you will get to have a go at 3 crafts in 2 hours, all 3 crafts are suitable for all and our tutors and volunteers will be on hand to help you. Our workshops are a great way to meet new people so don’t worry about coming alone as you will be surrounded by great company from the moment you arrive 😉
Craft 1 : Create a Denim Feather which can be used a fab bag tassle – we have sourced scrap denim from nearby charity shops and will show you the mindful process of turning it into a feather
Craft 2 : Glass painting – PLEASE BRING A JAR OR GLASS that needs a new lease of life – we will have old glass items in the studio but it would be great if you brought something that would be useful or beautiful to you. We will have lots of examples of designs you can add and will show you how to best use the paints and how to cure them.
Craft 3 : Scrappy reusable bags : we have so much fabric donated to us at the studio – we will use this to create super useful drawstring bags on the sewing machine – we will show you a super easy pattern hack which means you only need to do 3 straight lines of sewing and a bag appears! (we can help as much or as little as you like)
This event is being supported and funded by Adult Learning Wales – your space is therefore free but we ask that you double check your diary before booking to ensure you are available and if anything changes that you cancel your space so that others can enjoy the session.
